How to make homemade brown sugar steamed buns

1.Ingredients: plain flour, warm water, active dry yeast, brown sugar powder , vegetable oil.

2.Pour the flour into the basin, put the dry yeast in, then mix well, and add the brown sugar Pour the flour into warm boiling water and stir to dissolve, then use chopsticks to stir the flour while pouring the brown sugar water into the basin.

3.It is already like this snowflake

4. Start kneading with your hands and knead the dough until it is smooth for about five minutes. Then cover it with a lid or cover it with plastic wrap and leave it in a warm place to ferment for one and a half to two hours.Today, the room temperature was around 27 degrees, and I fermented it for two hours.

5.This is dough that has been fermented for two hours.

6. When you break open the edge of the dough, you will see that there are many honeycombs. This is already Another way to identify fermented dough is to poke the center of the dough with your finger. If the dough does not shrink back, it means it has risen.

7. Then add an appropriate amount of dry flour and knead evenly to release the air.I kneaded for about five minutes..

8.Sprinkle some dry flour on the work surface, put the dough on it, and use a rolling pin to roll it into a thin sheet., I didn’t have a rolling pin and used a mineral water bottle, so the roll out was not thin and the appearance was ugly.

9.The rolled dough is then rolled up sideways and cut with a knife.(It’s too long, so I rolled it up for the convenience of taking pictures)

10.Start using the knife Cut the dough into small pieces of suitable size

11.Forgive me for the different sizes and shapes..

12. Apply an appropriate amount of vegetable oil on the steaming plate, then put the dough on it, and proceed to the second step Twenty minutes is enough for the second fermentation.(The purpose of applying oil is to make it easier to remove after steaming without sticking to it.)

13.This is fermented dough, twice as big as before, and feels very light when held in hand.

14. Then add an appropriate amount of cold water to the steamer, turn on medium heat and steam for twenty minutes. Then turn off the heat and simmer for five minutes (do not open the lid during the process, and after steaming, remove the lid sideways.) The steaming process was simply ignored and no photos were taken. This is the first steamed bun.

15.This is the second frame, the small and cute brown sugar steamed buns have been cooked

16.My daughters were eager to eat, so I was urged by them to take a few photos. The little ones can’t wait to get started.

Tips
If you make a lot, you need to steam it twice.Don’t squeeze it into one steaming grid, because the dough will get bigger during the steaming process. If the spacing is not large, it will all be connected after steaming.Physical.I eat it on the sweeter side, but if you don’t like it too sweet, you can add less brown sugar.
Note: Because I am new to pasta, and I am still in the learning stage, some methods may not be mature yet, and I only made a rough estimate of the ingredients because I don’t have a baking scale at home.If you are not sure about the amount of water, you can slowly add water until it is right.Never pour it all at once.
