Recipe for Skeleton Finger Red Date Hair Cake

1. Steam the sweet potatoes and carrots, crush them separately and add glutinous rice Mix the flour into a dough.

2. Steam the red dates and remove the cores, add a little water in a food processor to make a jujube paste.Take a basin, pour a little warm water into it, add baking powder, sugar, jujube paste, add flour and mix to form a soft dough.Grease the mold and put the dough in.Cover with plastic wrap and leave it to ferment in a warm place.

3.The sweet potato glutinous rice dough is divided into three larger ones and five smaller ones.Use three fingers to press the small one into strips, use wolfberry berries to make nails, and use toothpicks to press out hand lines on them. The larger one is to make a skull.First, knead it into a round shape and use toothpicks to poke out the eye sockets, nose and mouth.Use a small amount of carrot dough and roll it into a long strip to make a worm.Use black grapes to make a worm head and place it on the skull.Take a larger amount of carrot dough to make a pumpkin.

4. After the red date dough is fermented, put it in a cold pot, steam it for 25 minutes, turn off the heat and simmer five minutes. You can also steam the skull, fingers, pumpkin and red date cake together.I steamed them separately. It only takes ten minutes to boil them.(I forgot to take a picture of the steamed cake after it was steamed)

5. Steam and let cool.Arrange the shape, use salad dressing to make the eyes and mouth of the pumpkin, put black stems to make the eyes and teeth, top with ketchup and it’s done!
Tips
Carrots are not easy to mash, so you can put them in a bag and roll them with a rolling pin.If the dough contains more water, you don’t need to add water.
