Butter ( 90g ) | Low-gluten flour ( 100g ) |
Whole wheat bread flour ( 35 grams ) | Eggs ( 1 ) |
Fine sugar ( 50g ) | Roasted black sesame seeds ( 5 grams ) |
Salt ( 2.5g ) |
How to make whole wheat sesame shortbread

1.After softening the butter at room temperature, add fine sugar and salt and beat well with a whisk.

2.Add one egg in 2 additions and beat until smooth

3. Sift the low-gluten flour, baking powder and whole-wheat bread flour into it, and mix well.

4.Add black sesame seeds into the batter and stir evenly

6. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and leave the middle layer for about 25 minutes

5. Place oil-absorbing paper on a baking sheet, shape into a round cake by hand and place on the baking sheet
Tips
Do not remove the baking sheet from the oven immediately after turning off the heat , continue to simmer with residual heat for about 10 minutes to make the shortbread crispier.
