Sugar ( 2 full scoops ) | Water ( 300ml ) |
Coconut ( appropriate amount ) | Sugar-filled red beans ( appropriate amount ) |
How to make milk tea at home

1. To make tea, I use tin black tea.If not, you can use ordinary black tea, such as Lapsang Souchong.

2.Bring to a boil over high heat, 2 minutes

3. Filter the tea.You can use clean gauze as the filter cloth.I use a clean steaming curtain, which is available in supermarkets for 5 yuan each.

4.Make caramel and add sugar

5.Simmer over low heat until the oil turns slightly yellow, then turn off the heat immediately.

6.Add milk, do not turn on the heat when adding milk, the sugar will harden, that’s okay.

7. Heat the milk over low heat, stir slowly, the milk should not foam, just saccharify it.

8.Add tea, a little at a time.You can taste it in between.There is no need to pour all the tea.Just add it in moderation.

9.Add coconut and red beans in the cup

10.Pour in the milk tea and it’s ok
