How to make old-fashioned mooncakes

1.Put the corn syrup into a basin

2.Add alkaline water and stir evenly

3.Add corn oil and stir evenly

4.Put in all-purpose flour, you can add a little more flour, otherwise it will be soaked
5.Knead into a smooth dough, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes

6.Take it out after refrigeration, divide the dough and filling into 25g small balls, roll them into balls and set aside.I bought the filling ready-made.The bean paste filling was a little thin and the amount was slightly less.(It will be drier if you cook it yourself)

7. Wrap the filling with the outer skin and print it with a mold.Flower shape

8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, bake for 5 minutes, take out and spray water to prevent cracking, and then Bake for 10 minutes, brush with egg wash, take out after the last 5 minutes of coloring
Tips
When brushing the egg liquid, be sure to use a brush to brush evenly, otherwise there will be a mess.Try to use a mold with a simple pattern. If it is too complicated, the pattern will fade after baking and the pattern will not be visible
