How to make red dates and brown sugar steamed buns
1.Weigh the brown sugar, add hot water and stir evenly to dissolve the brown sugar and become brown sugar water.Let cool and set aside.

2. Prepare nuts: raisins, red dates and walnuts.If it is raw walnuts, roast them in the oven in advance.

3. Then chop the red dates, raisins and walnuts and set aside.

4. Add high-sugar tolerant yeast to the flour and stir.

5. Then add the cooled brown sugar water.

6.Use chopsticks to stir into dough.

7.Then knead (by hand) into a smooth dough.

8. Add chopped raisins, chopped red dates and walnuts to the kneaded dough broken.

9. Knead a few more times with your hands for about five minutes, until all the chopped nuts are incorporated.Evenly distributed in the dough.

11.Make each small piece of dough fully round.Cover with a damp cloth and ferment for about 40 minutes, until it reaches 1.5 to 2 times its original size.(The fermentation time of the dough varies according to the temperature)

12. Put the fermented steamed bun into embryo, Place in a steamer covered with a cloth.Add appropriate amount of water to the steamer, bring to a boil over high heat, steam for 20 minutes, and simmer for 3 minutes.

Tips
All-purpose flour is our usual household flour.
If the walnuts are raw, roast them in the oven to make them taste better.
Brown sugar tends to clump and is difficult to dissolve in flour, so dissolve the brown sugar with hot water in advance.
Walnut kernels can also be replaced with almond kernels, hazelnut kernels, etc., and raisins can be replaced with cranberries, depending on personal preference.However, it is not recommended to replace the red dates because red dates and brown sugar go well together.
