Ingredients
Flour, 15 pitted red dates ( 250g ) | Yeast, sugar, milk powder, 120g water (appropriate amount) |
How to make red date steamed buns

1. Soak the red dates for 20 minutes, remove the cores, add them to warm water, add 5 tablespoons of milk powder and sugar, beat them with a mixer, then add yeast and beat for 5 seconds

2.Pour the crushed red date paste into the flour in batches and mix well

3. If the dough is slightly wet, you can dip it in some oil or flour and knead it thoroughly.Let it ferment in a warm place.I basically ferment it by leaving it on the rice cooker, which is similar in winter. It will be ready in an hour

4. Deflate the dough and knead it into two balls, then roll the balls into a rectangular shape , roll it up from top to bottom and cut it into 5 equal parts, put it in the steamer and ferment it for 5 minutes, then steam over high heat for 15 minutes and simmer for 3 minutes before opening the lid

5.The photo taken at night is not very clear, so let’s take a look.Pressing and dismounting to restore elasticity shows that the steamed buns are soft
Tips
The temperature must be controlled to allow the dough to ferment. The steamed buns will be soft and fluffy if they are fully cooked
