How to make red bean and sweet potato cake

1.Wash the red beans, soak them for a few hours in advance and drain them.

2. Place the lower layer of the two-layer steamer and add water to boil.

3. Prepare a sweet potato.

4. Peel and wash, cut into thin pieces, and steam on the upper layer of a two-tier steamer ( Steam the sweet potatoes on top and cook the red beans below)

5. Steam the sweet potatoes and press them into puree with a spatula.(Let the red beans continue to cook).

6.Except the red beans, put the other ingredients in the ingredient list into the bread machine, start and 3 minutes.

7. Pick up the red beans that have been boiled until they just open, drain the water, pour them into the bread machine and continue stirring 2 minutes.

8. The mixture should be thick and moist (it only takes 5 minutes to knead the dough, If stirred for too long, gluten will form, and the texture will be like bread when steamed, which is relatively dry)

9. Pour the thick batter into a steamer tray or cake mold (this is an 8-inch cake mold), and smooth it out with a spatula dipped in water.

10. Place in a warm place or use an oven to heat and ferment until it reaches 2 to 2.5 times its original size. That’s it.

11. After the water in the pot boils, put it in and steam for 25 minutes, then turn off the heat and simmer for 5 more minute.

12. Let cool and press the edge of the cake to release it from the mold.

13.There are many "honeycombs" after cutting into pieces, and the internal organization is good!
Tips
