How to make Hanamaki

1.Wash and peel the carrots

2.Cut the carrots into pieces and set aside

3. Squeeze the carrot cubes into juice

4.Put the baking powder into the carrot juice and stir evenly

5. Start kneading the noodles: Pour in the carrot juice and stir with chopsticks until there are no dry noodles.

6.Then knead the dough with your hands to form a dough, cover it with plastic wrap and wait for it to rise.

7. Once the hair is doubled in size, it is ready when you press it with your fingers and it does not shrink back.

8.Knead the dough with your hands to release air.The longer you knead, the stronger and more delicious the Hanaki will be.

9.Use a rolling pin to roll into a large dough piece of moderate thickness

10.Put a little cooking oil

11.Fold the dough piece in half up and down, left and right, and apply oil evenly

12.Then from the dough piece Roll one side to the other

13.Use a knife to cut into triangles

14.Take a triangular embryo and use chopsticks to gently press the lower third of the triangular embryo

15.Fold the triangle embryo up and down along the impression of the chopsticks into S rows, see the picture below.

16. Use chopsticks to press down vertically, but don’t press it through

17. Gently pull out the chopsticks, and a flower roll is ready.It looks good.

18.Make other Hanamaki in the same way

19. Let the prepared Hanamaki rest for 20 minutes before steaming.Apply a little cooking oil on the steamer to prevent it from sticking to the pot

20. After boiling, steam for 15 minutes, turn off the heat, steam for another 3 minutes, and you will have hot Hanaki.It's done.Try it.It's delicious.

Tips
The amount of flour depends on the amount of carrot juice; the weather is cold this season and the dough takes longer to rise, I used an hour; before steaming, put some oil on the steamer to prevent it from sticking to the pan
