
Ingredients
All-purpose flour ( 300g ) | Milk ( About 180ml ) |
Warm water ( 10ml ) | Yeast ( 3g ) |
Granulated sugar ( 15g ) |
How to make simple steamed buns

1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water, pour in sugar and milk

2.Pour the flour into the bread machine (if you don’t have a bread machine, pour it into a basin, and beat with chopsticks into a flocculent shape without flour)

3. Knead into a smooth dough, cover it and ferment until the dough is 2 to 2.5 times in size (knead it by hand if you don’t have a bread machine) , cover with plastic wrap or wring out the water with a damp cloth and ferment)

4. Ferment until doubled in size , dip your fingers in flour, and poke a small hole in the middle.If it does not shrink back, it will be ready

5. Sprinkle a thin layer of flour on the cutting board, knead the dough evenly and deflate the air

6.Roll out the rectangle

7. Fold the two sides like a quilt

8.Roll it out again

9.Shape into long strips from bottom to top

10.Cut into small doses (The small portion has no bubbles)

11. Cover with gauze that has been wrung out of water, or keep fresh film and let rise again for 30 minutes

12. Heat hot water in a pot, add oil paper, or Brush the steamer grid with a thin layer of lard, add the steamed buns, steam over high heat for 14 minutes, cover with the lid and simmer for about three minutes before opening the lid

13. Take out the steamed buns after they are stuffed

Tips
Baozi and steamed buns are not as particular as bread.The dough can be fermented as long as the dough is smooth.
If you like sweet steamed buns, add sugar when kneading the noodles.
When fermenting the steamed buns for the second time on the chopping board, sprinkle a thin layer of flour on the chopping board to prevent the fermented steamed buns from sticking to the chopping board.
