How to make fennel fritters

1.Prepare the ingredients.Fennel, high-gluten flour, butter, eggs, milk, sugar.

2. Chop the fennel leaves and set aside.

3.Put all the ingredients except butter and fennel into the bread machine.Add salt and yeast powder.

4.Select the dough button on the bread machine and knead the dough for 20 minutes.Just make the dough even.

5. Add butter and continue to turn on the dough button.

6. After the butter is kneaded, add chopped fennel and continue kneading for about 20 minutes.

7. After the dough is kneaded, cover it with the bread machine and let it ferment naturally for 1 hour.

8.Natural fermentation to 2-2.5 times the size.

9. Take out the risen dough, knead out the air, and knead the dough evenly.

10.Take a piece of dough and knead it evenly and roll it into a 1 cm thick piece.

11. Cut into 1-1.5 cm strips.

12. Round the noodles on the chopping board into a strip.

13. Heat oil in the pot and when it is 50% hot, add small fried dough sticks.

14. Use chopsticks to turn the fried dough sticks over and fry for about 3 minutes until the fried dough sticks turn golden brown.It’s ready.

Tips
1.I used high-gluten flour because I was also preparing to bake bread.Friends, you can choose ordinary flour or fried dough stick flour.
2.I used an 18cm milk pot, so the fried dough sticks were made very small, only 10-12cm in length.The fried dough sticks will deform on their own after being put into the pot, so don’t worry too much about the shape.My fried dough sticks expanded larger and became bolder.
