Water starch ( appropriate amount ) |
How to make home version of Mapo Tofu

1. Heat oil in a small shabu-shabu pot, add Sichuan peppercorns and fry till fragrant.Stir-fry onion, ginger and garlic until fragrant, then add bean paste and stir-fry until red oil appears.

Tips
1.Cut the tofu into cubes the size of your thumb, add a little salt to a pot of boiling water and cook for about 3 minutes, remove and drain.
