Ingredients
Corn flour ( 100g ) | White flour ( 150g ) |
Red dates ( 30g ) | Brown sugar ( 40g ) |
Yeast ( appropriate amount ) |
How to make hot corn corn cake

1.Soak the red dates in hot water, wash them, remove the cores, and chop the jujube meat into small pieces.

2. Add brown sugar to boiling water and stir to dissolve the brown sugar.

3.Add white flour and cornmeal.

4. Stir evenly into a thick paste.

5.Use warm water to dissolve the yeast.

6. Pour into the corn paste and stir evenly.

7. Add chopped dried red dates and continue stirring.

8.Use a spoon to scoop out the slurry and pour it into the silicone mold without filling it.

9.Add a few pieces of chopped red dates on top for decoration, and put it in a warm place to ferment.

10.Pour cold water into the pot, steam over high heat for 20 minutes and it is ready to serve.

11.It is easy to remove from the mold while it is hot, so don’t miss out on the delicious ones.
Tips
1.The steaming time depends on the capacity.My mold is relatively small, so 20 minutes is enough.
2.Put a layer of gauze in the mold or brush a layer of oil before placing the dough to facilitate final demoulding.
3.The red dates are also delicious if replaced with cranberries or raisins.
