How to make cornmeal steamed buns

1. Dissolve the yeast with warm water

2.Mix 2 parts flour and 1 part cornmeal evenly

3.Pour in the yeast water (do not pour it all at once), and mix the flour into a smooth dough that is moderately soft and hard

4.Cover the pot with a lid to ferment (you can use plastic wrap or a plastic bag).I make the noodles the night before and steam them the next day

9.Put the steamed bun ingredients into the pot, cover the pot and let it sit for 20 minutes

10.Turn on low heat, steam the pot over high heat for 20 minutes, turn off the heat and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes

Tips
You can put more flour, less cornmeal, or other whole grain noodles.
