How to make cornmeal steamed buns

1.Two flat spoons (the spoon I use for cooking) of cornmeal, mix with boiling water into granules

2.Let cool and then add 4-5 spoons of flour

3.Put a small spoonful of baking powder into the basin

4. Mix with warm water

5.Slowly add into the flour and mix until smooth The dough

6.Cover and place in a warm place for natural fermentation for about 2 hours

7.After the flour has risen, knead it for a while to release the air.I divided it into 3 parts to make it easier to knead.

8.After kneading, take out a piece of dough and roll it into a long strip, and cut it into steamed bun-sized pieces

9.Press the dough with your left hand, and knead it into a smooth dough with your right hand, and shape it into a round shape

10.The steamed buns completed in sequence

11.Put cold water into the pot, cover it with a drawer cloth, and put in the steamed bun dough

12.After closing the lid, turn on the medium-low heat, turn the water to high and steam for about 30 minutes, turn off the heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes

13.The crispy and soft corn buns are ready
Tips
1.Blanch the cornmeal with boiling water and there will be no raw cornmeal smell after steaming.2.The amount of cornmeal and flour can be adjusted according to each store.Depending on the situation, add cold water to the pot after 3* is ready.Be sure to turn the pot over medium to low heat and then steam over high heat for 25-30 minutes (the purpose of turning on medium to low heat is to allow the water temperature to slowly rise to allow the steamed buns to ferment for the second time, and to save the natural fermentation time)
